The Fall Edit: 7 Fall Fashion Trends We’re Actually Wearing in 2026

Bestie,

There are trends you admire on someone else, and then there are the ones that actually make sense for your life. I’m much more interested in the second kind.

This fall, I keep coming back to pieces that make getting dressed easier. Cozy knits. Really good denim. A great third layer. Rich colors. A little pattern. Things that feel current without making you feel like you’re trying to dress like someone else.

Because that’s really what House of Caelo is about. Not chasing every trend. Finding the pieces that make you feel a little more like you.

Here are seven we’re wearing on repeat this season.

1. Stripes are having a moment

Sunset Carnival Stripe Cozy Relaxed Cardigan from House of Caelo

Stripes never completely disappear, but right now they feel particularly good. The easiest way to wear them is exactly how we’d wear almost anything at House of Caelo: casually.

Throw a striped cardigan over denim and a simple tee. Add sneakers or boots. Done.

Our pick: Sunset Carnival Stripe Cozy Relaxed Cardigan.

2. Chocolate brown is the new neutral

If your closet has been dominated by black, navy and gray, chocolate brown is such an easy way to warm things up.

And you don’t have to build an entire brown outfit. Wear it with denim. Cream. Black. Camel. Even softer blues.

Our pick: Gratitude Changes Everything Sweatshirt in chocolate brown.

3. Let the layer make the outfit

Wildflower Studded Faux Leather Moto Jacket from House of Caelo

Sometimes the difference between “I put clothes on” and “I put an outfit together” is one really good layer. A jacket, cardigan, vest or textured third piece can completely change basics you already own.

Our pick: Wildflower Studded Faux Leather Moto Jacket.

4. Heritage plaid is back

Vintage Plaid Quilted Jacket from House of Caelo

Plaid brings a little nostalgia into fall dressing, but we’re not talking about dressing head-to-toe preppy. Think plaid mixed with worn-in denim, boots, an easy sweatshirt or something unexpected.

Our pick: Vintage Plaid Quilted Jacket with Pockets.

5. Denim is getting looser

Skinny jeans aren’t forbidden. Wear what you love. But if you’ve been wanting to experiment with denim, the relaxed silhouettes happening right now are incredibly fun.

Our pick: Lux Retro Wide Leg Jeans.

6. Barrel legs aren’t as scary as they look

Studded Barrel Leg Jeans from House of Caelo

I know. You see barrel jeans on the hanger and think, Absolutely not. Then you put them on. The shape gives an outfit personality without requiring much else.

Our pick: Studded Barrel Leg Jeans.

7. The graphic sweatshirt has grown up

The graphic crew has officially moved beyond the basic logo sweatshirt. The new Après Alpine Social Club Sweatshirt brings that collected-on-a-mountain-weekend feeling into an everyday crewneck, with a vintage ski-lodge graphic that feels nostalgic without feeling costume-y.

We’re leading with the Light Blue. It feels fresh against fall denim now and carries beautifully into winter. Wear it with relaxed jeans and sneakers for everyday, or layer it under a jacket with a beanie when the temperature drops.

And this is why we still love a great graphic sweatshirt: it gives a simple outfit a point of view. Gratitude Changes Everything brings the message, Lunar Essence brings the Moon Tribe energy, and Après Alpine gives us that cozy mountain-weekend mood.

The real trend? Wearing what feels like you.

You don’t need all seven. Maybe you’re the chocolate-brown girl. Maybe you’re ready to try barrel jeans. Maybe all you want is one ridiculously good cardigan to throw over everything you already own.

That’s the point. Take what speaks to you. Leave what doesn’t.

Getting dressed should be one more way of coming home to yourself.
